Days Without Streamyx.

This is the consequence of not paying bills on time, or regularly.
It's been months since we last paid the bills. And no one actually realized it until our connection was cut.
Thank God it wasn't the electricity which got cut first. Or else, I wonder how-on-earth we're gonna survive it here. Same goes to the water supply.

We finally opened the post box again the other day, a day after our connection was cut. Haha. Imagine the number of letters we receive.
We've got red-warning-letters from both the internet service provider, TM, and also the electric company, TNB.

Apparently, if we still do not pay our bills by the 4th of March, they will also terminate the electricity supply to our home.
Haha. Good God. Thankfully we noticed it in time.

Opening the post box, I also finally got the letter See Mei sent to me long long long ago through snail mail.
*phew* I finally got my hands on it! Haha. But we no longer need it as we've already printed the t-shirt even. =p
Thanks anyway, See Mei. I still love the design. *winks*

Right now, I'm living off as a WiFi-parasite. Thank God there's this fella in Cyberia block C something who does not set password to his/her wireless connection. I hope I am not causing any connection problem to him/her by being a WiFi-thief. =(
I have even stopped all my downloads. *innocent eyes*

Don't worry, I will be getting back my connection real soon. We've settled all our bills today. So, I won't be sharing your connection anymore. =D Sorry ya!
Hopefully real soon enough, we will have back our own STABLE internet connection!! *argh*

Backstreet Boys Unbreakable Tour 2008

Oh my God, we're back again!!

Awesome!! F-r-i-g-g-i-n-g
AWESOME!!! ^^
It is so awesome that I wished it never ends.
But of course, that would mean killing them with exhaustion.
And I don't want that to happen. =p

After 10 years, I finally get to see them live!!
My greatest idols since I was of age 11.
[Sorry to say I wasn't quite the one who have been there from the start.]
I never really knew them at first. Catherine was kinda the one to have 'enlightened' me on all things about the BSB. That was how clueless I was about the entertainment industry.
Anyhow, since then, BSB is number 1, on top of my everlasting list already.
The only group whose songs are 100% listened to, by me. And liked 95% of it all.

That was the perfect reason why I never really considered anything and just said,
"YES, I WANNA GO TO THE BSB CONCERT, AT ALL COST!!"

Hehe,
I know. Pretty scary, even to myself. =p
But, I have no regrets saying that.

We reached Sunway Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park [the venue] at around 4pm.
Got our ticket, got our posters, went to the toilet and stood in line.
Behaved well, saw some other fellas holding many-many posters, proceed to ask for more.
And we got extras to be given out to friends. [Yes, I had one for you, Cath.]
All was well, everyone was happy.

That's when it started.
The lightning, the thunder. And *whooooooosh* here comes the rain! *argh*
It rained so heavily, everyone in the queue got wet!
I was literally drenched from head-to-toe. No kidding. Well, all of us were.
Needless to say, I'm sure you know what happened to all our stuff.
And so, the posters are gone. We could have saved some, but..... *sigh*
What could we say.

Right, then the even more pissifying moment arrived.
At 7pm, we were supposed to have had entered to the Surf Beach. But somehow, it was delayed, expectedly. =p
Even more pissifying was the fact that they let the people from the BACK of the line to enter FIRST.
Now, do you understand how we felt?! *chis*
And people started to get really annoyed and there goes the scoldings, the cursing etc.

Hehe, actually thing was I was kinda ignorant. I didn't quite care.
Like some people said, I am high on drugs. The drugs called BSB. *blek*
So, when they started shouting, it just kinda hurt my ears. =p
[My ears were only meant for BSB that night. Haha!!]

Well, as the concert starts, we tried to take alot alot of photos.
But sadly, my camera are kinda 'outdated' already. The ability to zoom and the battery are both so useless! *argh*
But seriously, it was only after the battery died that I started to really enjoy the party! *winks*

Oh my God! They are so amazing, it is still so breathtaking just to think about it. Hehe.
I don't know how to describe anything at all. Only one word really appears in my head everytime I try to describe the concert.
And the word is none other than, AWESOME! Haha.

The place where I stood was kinda strategic, I'd say. It's in the middle-middle.
As in I was pretty much right at the center of the surf beach. Right in the middle of sea of people.
The only downside of the place where we were was the fact that there are many Eurasians who are taller than me pushing their way through to the front. And I mean, talllllll. =(
My perfect view! *sobs*
Then there were also couples all around me. And there was once I stood behind this one couple who seriously have some kinda phobia of losing each other in the crowd.
They just had to squeeze on each other so tight, touch here touch there.
Kacau lar!! I wouldn't mind it if you'd STOP touching me! =.=

Right, enough of the not-so-happy stuffs. Now, the happy moments! Haha.
Well, the four of them actually came out, boxing style. They were caped in boxing suits.
Nick in blue, Brian in yellow, A.J. in black, Howie in green.
The opening song is 'Larger Than Life', with a lil remix of 'Stronger' by Kanye West. [I kinda expected it to be 'Everybody'.]

Best part of all was they continued performing for the whole concert. And we continued shouting, cheering and singing with them for the whole time through as well. ^^
Can you imagine singing all the romantic songs together with BSB?!
Oh, the joy. =p

At one part during the concert, Brian teased us by taking off his shoe and pretended to throw it to the audience. God, we were seriously READY to catch the flying-shoe. *ahakz*
Brian is really cute. Adorable too. When he was to sing his own single, everyone was so excited that we cheered for him nonstop. He then made the nail-biting gestures and all.
Oh my God, his smile is so frigging adorable I could faint! Hahahaha.
[He still reminds me of werewolves though. =p]

Then there was Nick. He actually kinda look much better now compared to a couple of years back. *winks* [Or was it just me? Seeing him live, separated by quite some distance.]
Whatever it is, he is still 'cute'. He totally melts my heart back then, and he still does a LIL right now. =D
When he was performing his own single, he actually poured water on his head and shook off the water from his head towards the audience in the VIP place.
Sounds disgusting? Well, imagine the pleasure the people enjoyed. Not me, of course! Thank God I couldn't afford the VIP passes. *bluek*
And who could forget him putting his face so near to the camera on-stage and make faces. It is kinda what he loves to do after all. o.O

A.J.'s single from his solo album is really awesome. It definitely suits his style, and it really did rawk the party up!
He had been what-we-call the coolest in the gang, and he is so still living up to it. And I don't think the beret left his head anytime at all. Soon Ming said he's balding. *laughs*

Howie D. was the first to sing his single. Apparently, his and A.J.'s solo albums will be released soon! ;)
The crowd did not exactly go crazy when he came out to perform his single. Probably because he isn't quite the more popular one among the rest.
But heck, I still love them all! I was crazy all the way, so I did cheer for him. Loud! :P

Before I forget, lemme recap on the songs they performed throughout the whole concerto [not in order] ~

Larger Than Life
I Want It That Way
The One
Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely
All I Have To Give
As Long As You Love Me
Everyone
I'll Never Break Your Heart
Quit Playing Games With My Heart

Inclusive of each of the member's individual singles, each.
Howie
A.J.
Nick - I Got You
Brian - Welcome Home

Oh, I think I'm missing some songs out. And I'm still trying to find out the names of the songs sung by Howie and A.J.. Hmm. It shall soon be updated.

Can you imagine that?! They performed so so many songs!! God, I am so happy! Haha. I did not quite expect them to sing this list of songs really. I mean, it is pretty alot, don't you think?
Kinda worthy eh paying the RM88? Hahaha.

It's worthy alright even if they sing only 4 songs. I finally get to party with BSB!! Can this get any better?!
Yes, it can. If only I won the hitz.fm backstage passes. *sobs*
Now I'm reminded of the A1 concert I missed years back. *double sobs*

Well, nothing stopped me this time for BSB!!
Hail the Backstreet Boys!!
Haha, I feel so teenager-girlish right now writing this blog entry. *shivers*

Here are more photos, for your eyes only. *winks*

Can't wait for my next BSB concert!!

p/s: Thanks Soon Keat for asking the Sunway Security for the one and only poster for me. *grins*

Orphanage Home Visit.

How time flies. It's been almost 3 months since our last visit here. The Shepherd's Center Foundation.

The first time we were there, it was the first ever visit CARE Club has organized for our term. Of course, due to some setbacks, we were also having another visit to the SPCA on that very same day and time.
Hence, we were separated into 2 groups actually. And I chose to go to the orphanage.

This time around, I didn't have to make the choice. =p I just had to be at one place.
But upon reaching, I was made to make another choice though. To help clean the place up or to play with the children.
Haha. Funny choice given. I really don't mind either anyway.
And so, this group of people volunteered to clean.

It's nothing really. We just helped clean all the fans, clean abit here and there.
Are we missing the fun they're having in the field? Probably?
Heard they played football at the field.

[Warming up before the game.]

Two of the kids actually stayed back, as they were not allowed to play there. They were sick, not just the normal kind of cough or flu we have.
One of them, they called Ah Seng, was mentioned to me that he went into coma for TWO weeks a couple of months ago. Pastor Jacop also mentioned that the fees for Ah Seng's illness cost around RM3, 000 per month. *sigh*
This kid is diagnosed with more than 3 illnesses and the medical fee is so high. This is only one kid.
Can you imagine the hardship they have to go through to save all these children? To provide a proper place to call home?

Even sadder to say, I don't know what kinda help could I actually offer.
Probably what CARE Club could really do is to organize more home visits, in order to tell them they're not alone? =) Yes, that's one that we can really do.
At least we get to see them smile.

But every visits, surely there's something insufficient.
The last visit, we did not have enough plasticine while this visit, we did not bring enough balloons! *argh*
Due to this, we see some children cried, some showed temper.
But being children, very quickly the problem is resolved. Haha.
Guess we need to keep in mind to buy extra of everything on our next visit.

[Heard this fella cried alot. =p ]

[The end of our visit. Right before they go back to bathe and lunch.]

Wonder if we can have another visit to this orphanage again, before the next term. Wonder if our club's budget allows. *sigh*
Hopefully, it's all I can say. =)

Birthday Marathon.

Wow. Is it a good month for birthdays?

Lemme recap and place my wishes for all the birthday-boys and -girls.

On the 20th, we have Wei Loon celebrating his 20th birthday.

On the 21st, we have Soon Ming and Jou Chean celebrating their 21st birthday.

And on the 22nd, we have Wei Jie celebrating his 22nd birthday.

Hehe. This is just to lamely point out that their birthdates are kinda indicating their ages respectively this year.
I believed I mentioned this in my last post. But in this post, another is added in to join the 'lame' group. =p

Right. Then continuing on, we have Jon Yap to wish 'Happy Birthday' to as well on the 22nd. On the day which he is celebrating his 23rd birthday!

And in advance, Happy Birthday to Shou Pin celebrating his birthday on the 25th.

First Timer Mahjong.

Wow. I actually won RM2 from the mahjong game. Haha.

Kel Mynn vividly remembers me saying before that I would not play mahjong, nor will I learn it.
But here I am, teaming up with Juin Hau and won Alvin's RM4.
Pardon me, Kel Mynn. I now know why they said mahjong can be real addictive. Hehe.
And thanks, Juin Hau, for the quick lesson.

Today, we celebrated for Wei Loon and Soon Ming together at the Hakka Village in Serdang.
Check out the cakes we bought for them. Cute? Haha.

[Pikachu is for Wei Loon while smiley is for Soon Ming.]

And then at 12am, apparently Soon Keat planned some surprise for his brother.
The plan? To attack Soon Ming with water plus flour.
Haha. You should have seen us [observers] run the hell outta there.
And the noise we made.

Then sadly, some neighbor was so pissed off that he went over to the security. And so, the fun had to stop.
But seriously, what could they really do? Hmm.
Of course, I am not saying that we are not at fault. We are.
But pardon us for that five minutes, how about that?

Well, anyhow,
Happy Birthday Wei Loon (20 February) and Soon Ming (21 February) ~
Welcome to the world of early 20s. ^^
[I just kinda lamely realise that their birthdates suit their ages respectively. Cool. Haha.]

Hope you guys enjoyed it, and also to enjoy the celebration tomorrow night.

I'm still pondering if I wanna go. =.=

A Long Sunday Afternoon.

And night too. *yawn*

I just came back from JACTIM's preparations. No, I'm not in JACTIM Career Fair.
Let's just say, I am abit busy-body larh o.
Haha. Well not exactly, it was actually Juin Hau who asked me to follow on his trip to get the event's t-shirt somewhere in KL.
Damn far. At first I heard Serdang, so I was pretty surprised when he took the highway to KL. =.=

Darn tired right now as I woke up damn early today, having to meet up with the two ladies at 9am.
The gathering was really meant to celebrate Kuan Gaik's birthday since I thought she would be alone, and she would definitely be devastated is she's alone on this day.

*will upload more photos soon*

Weird things keep happening.
First, some 'unknown' fella joined the girls-outing.
And, the 'unknown' fella was never properly introduced, and we sorta found it the shocking way. Harsh way.
Then, instead of shopping or movie, we went to PetroSains.

It was still pretty funny how we all
actually agreed to. But seriously, it was kinda fun. And we kinda acted kiddish too. =.=
Pardon us, but we were at a place which was really meant for kids.
That's why we can exactly hold back the kids in us. Right? Hehe. Be free, my child, be free~~

The only down part about this trip was the fact that I could not leave at 4pm, or at least 5pm. We were sorta hooked and was not able to finish the trip around the PetroSains so soon. So, it ended up that we left the place at around 7pm.

The DJ competition isn't really the reason for me to rush back to Cyberjaya. But, my concern is really the trip in ERL, alone.
Hence, I guess I had kinda rushed and sped up my pace. But still, I don't think it meant I never wanted to come out on this trip. Why, isn't it obvious?

Anyway, thank God I met Chee Wai at the LRT station. So, I ain't alone afterall. ^^
Pity the fella, got teased by me non-stop. I can't recall how it actually started though as I don't exactly talk so much to him before. =.=
And definitely, not to forget Juin Hau again. Thanks for fetching us from the Putra station. =D

Time to catch some sleep. I'm like a walking-zombie already.
It had been a long day, and it is going to be a long day tomorrow. A long week ahead indeed.
I'm pretty bored of myself saying this already. The 'long day, long week' talk. *sigh*
When will this stop?

Sorry Never Seems To Be The Hardest Word.

Especially to our fellow guy friends. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I seriously could not understand why is it that easy to do something that you know is wrong, expecting maybe, probably an apology could settle it all later.
I'm not only referring to the incidents that happened yesterday, not only referring to one or two persons in particular.

I believe I could have been too naive to think that some friends are reliable.
Yet time and again, I never learn that the only person I should rely on is me, myself and I.
Time and again, I never learn that the only person I should trust is me, myself and I.

Back in high school, sorry had never come so easily. As a matter of fact, sorry was never really a word used.
Friends hurt friends and they get away with it. Yup, just like that. Leaving the latter betrayed.
You would always be the lucky one if you're in the big gang. =.=
I've seen lotsa incidents like this happening. Even had one harsh first-hand experience in Form Four.
Thanks to Heng Yin for being there for me to turn to.

Now, as we grow, I come to notice that sorry is said pretty easily. And I'm still wondering why.
If you had known that what you're doing is wrong, why continue?
Only yesterday, I think I've heard a dozen of the 5-letter word. But did it come meaningfully from the heart?
I wish to believe it is. I wish to believe lesson learned.
Sometimes, I just get so tired already that I couldn't even be bothered to continue the conversations.

Don't get me wrong. This blog entry isn't a result of something serious that happened.
It's just something I feel, I know and I truly needed to rant about.
So, bear with me. =)

The Effects of Drinking Too Much of Water.

I know I have learned Biology, but I have never really given much thoughts on this question/problem.
At least not until I saw this e-mail from my Sis.

It is such a pity that it happened. But SEVEN litres of water a day?!
Sometimes, I don't even see myself drinking 1 litre a day.

Well, I was pretty curious and so decided to check this out myself.
Apparently, drinking too much of water can lead to water intoxication and further hyponatremia.

Quoted from chemistry.about.com,
"When too much water enters the body's cells, the tissues swell with the excess fluid. Your cells maintain a specific concentration gradient, so excess water outside the cells (the serum) draws sodium from within the cells out into the serum in an attempt to re-establish the necessary concentration. As more water accumulates, the serum sodium concentration drops -- a condition known as hyponatremia. The other way cells try to regain the electrolyte balance is for water outside the cells to rush into the cells via osmosis. The movement of water across a semipermeable membrane from higher to lower concentration is called osmosis. Although electrolytes are more concentrated inside the cells than outside, the water outside the cells is 'more concentrated' or 'less dilute' since it contains fewer electrolytes. Both electrolytes and water move across the cell membrane in an effort to balance concentration. Theoretically, cells could swell to the point of bursting."

In another article, one woman was stated to have died after a water-drinking contest.
Gosh! Now I understand why my Mom had always advised me to never hold my wee.
Wonder why the organizer of the contest is not stated to be held responsible though.
So, people, take this as a lesson and don't do stupid things just to get materialistic. You should be rational alright.
What is a Wii compared to your life. Right?

Well, drink smart! Don't drink hard! *winks*
Better yet, save water! Hehe. This is not an advise. =p

Valentine's Day.

Or a.k.a. Singles Awareness Day (SAD). Haha.

You know, even when I was young, Valentines had meant to be a day to commemorate a lover's love.
I thought I had mistaken the true meaning of Valentines too.
Back in school, teachers used to say, "Valentine's Day is not a special day only for lovers. This is a day you should show your love to your family and your friends, your loved ones."

It's sweet. Doubtlessly. And I still believe my family will always be my loved ones.
But is it just truer that the meaning of Valentine's had been, what I would call, modernized?
Haha. Think about it.

p/s: I got this flower from an anonymous. Haha. Seriously, don't you think you're wasting money buying the flower, yet not daring enough to own up to it? Well, I think it is.
Anyhow, thanks for the flower. It's really sweet of you, whoever you are. =)

And Happy Birthday to Wee Vian. Nice day for a birthday, huh? *winks*

Sick Again.

Goddammit!
Suddenly, I am sickness-prone. Does it even make sense to you?

*sigh* Here I go again.

Down with flu + sorethroat + slight fever.

I'm feeling so heaty that I can feel my eyes and nose sore with the burning-like sensation.

Not to mention the goosebumps that I constantly get.

It's so weird that I'm complaining that it is too cold, when everyone else is
cursing the hot weather. ><
Funnier thing is that, it only happens when I repent and started to drink more water! *long sighhhhh*
What is happening to me?! It freaks me out big time alright! Obviously this isn't the first time! Probably it is like what my Mom always say. It is the 'heatiness' accumulating inside my body, finally pushing its way out. And hence, the huge wave
of illness. *whoosh*

Well, whatever it is, this is definitely my post-CNY effect.
Added on with one long day full-packed with classes, it is even more tiring.
That was why I skipped 2 classes today, just to sleep to my heart's content. ^^

Tomorrow is going to be just another long day. And tonight is going to be a long night too.

Good luck to those gambling outside my living room. And good night to me. =D

Message of the day:
Happy Belated Birthday, Hui Ying!

Hmm, I'm suddenly wondering. If everyone out there is in good luck, who is going to lose the money?

CNY Celebration in Penang.

One word. SHORT.

The day before CNY.

We had reunion dinner as we always do, every year. And like every year, we have guests.
This year, Bro is home with my future Sis-in-law. ^^ Hehe. Along with them is her lil' nephew, Daniel.
Cute lil' fella, but when he cries... =.=
Then there's my 5th Uncle, paternal side. 4th Uncle couldn't join because he was too 'busy' with the shop. [Bah.]
Then there's the Bong family, excluding Chin Hoong. He is also 'busy' with his shop at the New World Park.

Just like 'tradition' in my home, everything happens like a routine. A yearly routine.
Mom and I would be busy cleaning and preparing all the ingredients. Sis would be busy arranging everything nicely on beautiful plates. Dad would be busy cleaning this and that.
Bro? Lazying larh.

First off, we 'lou sang'. The 'yee sang' was prepared by my Sis, bought from the supermarket. [No salmon added this year, because Mom isn't a fan of raw food.]
Then, we all sat down and enjoy our steamboat dinner. It is steamboat every year alright. ;) The reason is simple, it is the easiest to prepare.
As a lesson from past years, Mom cut down the quantity of each kind of the ingredients. We certainly do not want to end up eating steamboat till 'chor sam' and beyond.
A must have ala carte every year are steamed fish and 'chu tou tong' [pork stomach's soup, direct translation].
Surely never to forget the dessert.

I did the silliest mistake to the red bean soup. There was 2 reasons why I was so dumb.
1. I was really busy helping with the table setting and all.
2. I forgot we were using the slow cooker.

Good God. I added some 'tang yuen' straight into the red bean soup in the slow cooker!
Even more interesting is that I did not realize about the mistake until it was too late.
Until the 'tang yuen' was bloated and bursting and the peanut fillings inside the 'tang yuen' spills out, blending into the red bean soup. *wargh*
The whole pot of dessert tasted so bad, it was wasted. Nobody could ever ever finish the whole thing. =(

First day of CNY
At midnight, we went to worship Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, at Beach Street.
All the 7 of us. Hehe. Nice.

The odometer [I think that's what it's called] on the Hyundai Sonata that Dad drove displayed all 6s on its meter. At first glance, I thought I saw wrongly as I was not wearing my glasses.
Then Dad confirmed that it indeed displays 66666. Mmm. Beautiful number.
Mom said, it's an auspicious number as 6 in Hokkien sounded to be "Luck". Haha. Even more beautiful the number. ^^

The Kuan Yin Temple in Beach Street is one famous temple in Penang.
Even at the first hour of the new Lunar year, it was already full-packed that it is so hard to even move.
Joss-sticks were practically poking at all directions. *fuh* Dangerous.

Second day of CNY

Today's the day for family gathering in the ancestor home, house of my late Grandfather. In Balik Pulau.
This year, only my Eldest Aunt's and 2nd Aunt's families came. Never quite expected all to be gathered together on this day anyway.
The heat inside the house is especially annoying. So, my Sis and I were practically urging my parents to leave. I never liked to stay long anyway.

Right after, we went to 'tip tai sui' [a Chinese tradition] but we couldn't do it that day as the service will only be provided starting on the 4th day of CNY. Dad was abit annoyed with 5th Uncle, as he was supposed to have find out whether the service is available or not, but he told my Dad another thing.
So anyway, since we were already there, we prayed in the temple, and another Kuan Yin temple few metres away.

Then at night, Bro left for KL. He's going to Bangkok the night after.

Third day of CNY

I had a gathering with my friends at 9.30am, but I only woke up at 10am when ET called. Oh God!
By the time I got ready, they had already finished 'dim sum'. Haha.
Glad to know I was not alone though. Hehe. Pei Pei did not wake up in time as well.

We all then headed to the Weld Quay, to the Hainan Cafe.
Actually, the main reason we were there was so that See Mei can take some photos for assignment. XD
And so, we took quite a number of photos together.

As you see, only the 7 of us were there. Others were either busy or going to the temple.
Abit saddening the gathering. =P

Fourth day of CNY
Time to go back to Cyberjaya. *sigh*

I had lab session on Monday, that's why we were practically forced to come back today.
Good God! The highway was so jammed that it took us 8 hours [plus plus] to travel from Penang to Kuala Lumpur.
What a 'fun' journey. ><

Chinese New Year ‘Balik Kampung’.

Why am I still here?
Reasons are that I had home visits to attend to on Saturday and I shall be following my Bro home.
No, no blames on anything.
Yes, REAL Bro. Flesh and blood. =p

Oh, thank God tomorrow is the day already. I almost can’t wait no more.
Cyberjaya is so totally as dead as it is always described to be already. Everyone is back to hometown as early as last Friday.

*sigh* Last year’s CNY was never near to be like this. It was a semester break, so we actually had a longer holiday for CNY celebration.
Enough time to prepare for the CNY, and enough time to enjoy the CNY before back-to-school.
Sadly this year, new semester started one week before CNY.
But then again, many still did not come back. God, am I jealous or what? ><
Hehe. Well, obviously I wouldn’t have been back for this one week is it hadn’t been for the some responsibilities. [No, it didn’t mean I’m complaining that I have sacrificed. =.= ]

Anyway, I’ve just finished playing ‘Battleship’ with Alex, crashing in Karen’s room.
Yeap, finally we found the time and chance to play the game. =.= It had been said since the last year.
Well, Alex was lucky larh this time. He won the game 3-2. And I was sleepy already. Muahaha. So, it is reasonable that I lost. *blek*
I shall redeem my loss one day soon. You wait. =p

Tomorrow, Karen would be accompanying me to shop before I meet Bro. [Though seriously, I have no idea what else I wanna buy.]
Bingo, we’re skipping class. *winks*
But then again, I THINK most classes are cancelled already. ^^ So, we aren’t that bad, skipping that not-so-many classes afterall. Hehe.

Balik kampung...oh oh oh, balik kampung...
Hati riang ~~~

p/s: It’s gonna be real busy days ahead. So, just in case.
Happy Chinese New Year, people!! *winks*
And also Happy Birthday, Chia Li! =D

Home Visits.

You know, I've always wanted to do some social work kinda thingy. But never really got the chance to.
Today, I had the chance to participate in visits to TWO charity homes in one day. ^^

[The first visit in the morning, to the Beautiful Gates Foundation]

[The second visit in the evening, to the Retirement Home]

In the morning, we headed to the home for the disabled in Petaling Jaya. And then in the evening, we headed down to the old folks' home in Kajang.
Basically, we just helped around cleaning both houses.

Due to the short time allocated for the morning visit, we could only managed to clean the house and had no time to interact with the residents there.
But they seemed to be sweet people. I saw some kids in the the living room, watching cartoons on TV. They seemed just like any other ordinary kids.
Hopefully next time around we could get to know them better. ;)

The old folks' home visit, on the other hand, started off with cleaning. The house was particularly clean, so not much cleaning was needed.
After the cleaning, it was dinner time! Vegetarian food is good, for both the kong kong por por and also us. ;)
We all sat and talked while eating. At first, I felt particular guilt to the four Malay girls who joined in our trip, as all the grandpas and grandmas in the home were Chinese. And most of them speak in Chinese too.
But then, they were really nice and didn't complain.
I only saw them talking to one grandpa who spoke in English during dinnertime. That grandpa is one really cute fella.

Well you see, after eating, we had some get-along activities.
This grandpa was singing 'Baa baa, black sheep' as he dances, social dance. Hehe.

We went back around 9pm, I think. One of reasons was that we didn't want to disturb them to rest. Also, we were running out of ideas to entertain them. Haha.

*sigh* We were already in Kajang. Yet, we didn't get to makan the Kajang satay.

Well~ I feel really contented today alright. ^^
Plus, I made some new friends. =D

p/s: Happy belated-one-day Birthday, Heng Yin! =D
I don't know if you got my message. Bet you were real busy, eh? Hehe. Glad you're okay. Hope you enjoyed the day. *winks*
