*Long Overdue* Sushi Dinner.

Okay, so this is long overdue. Until I almost forgot I wanted to post this up. Better late than never.
*Warning: More overdue posts coming up. ;)*

Dated: 14 March 2009.
Just another Saturday afternoon in Cyberia, bored and lazy. So, the four of us (eLaiNe, Chee Wei, Yamunah and Soon Ming) headed to Alamanda for lunch and window-shopped in Cold Storage after. Like I said, it was a boring and lazy-fying Saturday afternoon. But I don't know what exactly came over us that we suddenly decide to play masak-masak for dinner.
Japanese will be our theme for the night. Reason being that I have this sushi set thingy that I bought awhile back wanting to make some sushi, but got no sushi rice. Haha! Second reason is that Soon Ming is a Japanese fanatic. ;)

Having this plan in mind, we skipped our ooh-and-ahhs session in Cold Storage and rushed to Carrefour to get our ingredients. Got home. Rest for a coupla minutes or an hour or so, and off we go. Cooking time!

Started with preparing the ingredients, and yes my house's kitchen is messy and crowded with the four of us walking up and down, not knowing what to do first. Real noobsters. =p

This is our favourite 'okonomiyaki'. Top with the sauces and bonito flakes (or 'katsuobushi'). ^^ Yummy. I don't wanna brag, but hell yeah, our 'okonomiyaki' is wayyyyyyy better than Sushi King's!!! *pfffffttttt*

Then there's tempura. Fried vegetables and fried crabmeat-sticks. Oily. *yikes*

Part of the main dish - sushi. My task. I don't even know why I'm on this task! I know no nuts about this, although I may have fooled around with making sushi back in high school. Hahaha! Don't even remind me!
So, anyway...It didn't turn out too bad afterall.

It took us almost 3 hours to prepare this dinner! Worthwhile though. :)

We are all so beat up by the end of it. It took us another hour or so just to clean the whole place up!!!

Surprise Luncheon.

Ah, what a pleasant pleasant surprise. Just yesterday we were scratching our poor little heads thinking of how to write a good message for his birthday. We wanted to make it special. We want to reminisce on the good ol' times through doing so. We want it to be meaningful. =)

When she said he weren't coming on Friday, I thought it may be a good idea afterall. I'm sorry, but this whole midterm-tests-mania thingy is really getting its toll on me. But then, I also wished he'd come. I missed those times we just talked and laughed. Life was nothing but a breeze.

But hey! He came anyway! On a non-suspicious Saturday morning. It was absolutely a surprise for me. Considering the fact that I was woken up only by her voice saying, "Guess who's here!". Omigosh. I thought she was just joking when she answered her own question. Haha. And naturally, I kinda got back to sleep larh. But that girl had to forget where she left her keys. [Padahal it was right there hanging on her notice board!] Haha.

He gave us a goddamn good excuse for skipping studies a lil while alright, but we know well it's gonna haunt us real soon. But well, who cares at this moment. I'm just glad that we get to do what we did today. Lunch was superb and filling! Loved those small laughs especially. Thank you for coming over.
And yes, God, good times fly by quickly.

Happy Birthday, Shad! In advance for now, that is. *winks*

Oh my, look at how much we've changed over time. And at how little photos we have together. It's a real sad thing we lost most of our photos from Alpha year too.

Certainly hope to hang out with you guys again! Make sure the time come again soon. Cheers!

Ice Cream Makes Me Happy.

Oooo yes! Just side by side with chocolate, ice cream is my favourite too!

And being able to savour them in a happy mood like this adds the sweetness in every mouthful of it. Mmm mmmm~~~

It was on promotion. Supposed we wanted to eat the 2 scoops for RM15, but we didn't realize it was for takeout orders only. Sitting down, we finally realized we got 'conned' by our excitement without reading properly the finely printed words. *ahakz*
So anyway, I guess that's the other way of God showing us the better deal?

With every purchase of RM20 and above in a single receipt, we are entitled to purchase a whole pint for only RM25! *slurps*

Oooo I lurve lurve lurve Haagen Dazs' ice cream. Slurp~~
Now imagine having chocolate ice-cream!!! Double-joy~

Speaking of chocolate, just when I was really blue last week, thanks Kelmynn and Gkai for providing me the 'ecstasy' in the form of chocolates! I'm a lil bit too heavyhearted to gobble those chocs down my throat though. =p

Another New Month.

Already it's September. The past one month is yet another eventful month.
Misery, confrontations, happy ending/beginning, shit house, being homeless.
Today marks another new day of another new month. Let's all be hopeful that this month will also be eventful with only happy events ya. Please no more of you-know-what. *grrrrr*

For the weekend, had a normal routine that we have everytime my family is down to KL. Haha, some of you may just well know what it meant. =D
Sometimes it's just tiring with the frequent trips like that, but I still love the plans for I get to be with my parents. =D
This time, I was supposed to follow my Brother back down to KL town in the morning, but had a change of plan quite last minute because his meeting was canceled.
So, I had to catch a bus on my own in order to reach KL town on time, early. Haiyo. Not like he's going to drive me all the way back to Cyberjaya anyway. *sobz*

Anyway, it's been a month! I can't believe it's been a month now.
[Actually it's been MORE than just a month.] How time flies. *brrr* Hehe. And the past month [the real one month] had been a good one. ^^
Thanks for being there. Thanks for putting up with me. Thanks for all the support. Thanks for so so much, I'll keep it real. =D
Haha. How pitiful you had to put up with the you-know-what as well. And even more how pitiful you had to put up with having to give up your cosy home. =p

First month~~ Keep it up! *winks*

Happy National Day!

Selamat Hari Kebangsaan! 51 years of independence!
Freedom, achievement...still a lil far-fetched. No comments. You know better. =)

Anyway, I read this on an article I think. Can't remember precisely where I read it, but I do remember the important points of it. And that is, wishing the nation "Selamat Hari Merdeka" would be wrong. This is because we only had our Merdeka Day once and that was back in 1957. And that day was THE day we were finally independent, free from any kind of invasion at all. Furthermore, Sabah and Sarawak did not attain their independence on that very same day. So, with the wisdom of our late Tunku Abdul Rahman, the term "Selamat Hari Kebangsaan" is used to replace "Selamat Hari Merdeka". Of which I think is really true. And very wise.
So, don't give the wrong wishing anymore. =P

Memorable event of the day is that...my family [except my Daddy] is going for karaoke-ing! Haha, weird eh? We will actually celebrate our National's Day singing our hearts out the whole night through. Bet you can imagine us singing the oldies of all time. It's going to be a greaaaaat night! Weeeeeeee~~~~!

Message of the day:
Dong dong bell~~ Pussy in the well~~
Happy Birthday, Ding! =D

An Eventful Day.

Was officially out of my home for a whole 17 and a half hours.
Started the day at 9am, woke up and got ready for class. After class, I followed Yamunah to the library [I need to start studying myself also]. Then in the evening, I got another 2 hours class again, of which I just 'fish' my way through. I just felt so tired and sleepy, my bodily function is really screwed up. Hadn't had good night sleeps for few weeks now. Just lately, it's getting worse, added on with the fact that I sleep late and waking up really frigging early. The fact that I'm sensing a flu coming my way doesn't help either. But it's funny how it is coming and yet not coming. [If you know what I mean.]

After class at 5pm, went back to the library cause sorta promised Yam to stay. I suddenly was up, awake and kicking. Started studying for 15 minutes and I decided not to go home, but I never brought something [I thought] pretty important with me. So, I texted. Somehow, just somehow that I don't know how, it was brought towards a very wrong direction. =___=

7pm came and it's time for lab. Today's lab was prolonged straight till 9pm. Right on time for our MESCORP's outing. But heck, John cheated with his "KL cafe" line. Li Ping told it's Luna Bar that we're going to. Grrr.
Fine. I'm alright. I just don't like the fact that they're not telling me, knowing I wouldn't have agreed to go if they have told. LOL anyway. :)

Well, I had fun, but was very very very tired though. Truthfully, thank God it was Ladies' Night, so I needn't pay a single penny to get in. *blerk* Just for the girls. La la la~~

Thanks for all the people around! ;)

Care-free Again.

For a day, at least. After a whole five days of I-don't-know-what-to-..., today has finally come a better day.
In the morning when I woke up, I actually wasn't in the fittest condition to go out. But I had to [as I was so-called the organizer] and I want to [cause I don't exactly wanna stay alone]. Come the end of the day, I have no regrets at all.

Since we went for Dark Knight yesternight, I woke up a lil later than I was supposed to. Sleeping at 5am, I think I did just fine being able to leave home to KL-town by 11. Haha. We're supposed to meet up at 12 though. [Oops.]

Well, though many couldn't make it today, it was still great seeing these 7 people again. And to be frank, too big a group of people hanging out at one time for gathering like this isn't such a good idea. Lesson learnt.
But I still hope one day we could be able to gather EVERYBODY back together once again. It'll be so cool. ^o^

Nothing much has changed about these 7, and boy, were we noisy as ever. o.O
Mabel especially, of course. The ever-cute one, never afraid to just be who she is. The momma's girl, though. ^^
See Mei, the ever-I-don't-care-what-you-think girl. But she's still nice in nature. :)
Cheryl, the ever-selamba one. Gossiping with her is especially entertaining. =D
Shelva, the ever-lost one. She can understand Cantonese ok! So, she ain't that lost afterall. ;)
ET, the ever...whoa! Gosh, we were so surprised of what a shopaholic she had transformed to be over the years! Ahakz! XD
Catherine, the ever-studious one. The paling worrying one. Haihz. >.<
And [not in the photo] Kuan Gaik, the ever-vain one. Haha! [She's so gonna kill me if she reads this.] @@

I've never seen some of them for so long, I am just so glad we are still able to just be and hang out.
Shopping apart, I especially love talking to them [or rather sometimes, see/hear them talk]. The things that we say are all just so...pointless, at times. Haha. But I guess that's the fun of it. We just say, or act, however we are. No need for pretenses.

Sometimes I wish so badly to have these moments for a longer time, but I have to be back to reality. Reality had been cruel, but that's how I grow.
I'm looking forward to have another gathering with the girls again definitely.
For now, I gotta refresh myself and get some rest. Tomorrow will be another day out with another bunch of girls, my housemates.
We're hitting the mall again, for the first time just the 3 of us.
I'm tired, yes. Very tired indeed. But mentally, I'm just glad my weekend is pretty much occupied. ^^

On The Brighter Side...

I just had a super-duperly perfect meal.
How perfect the meal is isn't judged by the place we dine in or the food we eat. Rather, it's the company we have during the meal.
And I just had the PERFECT company I yearn for.

I know how much you guys prefer not to drive in to Cyberjaya. But I'm sorry,
I seriously would not be able to join in you guys, I'm psychologically-unfit for fun right now. Thank you so much for coming to me! =D
Though the meal was nothing out of ordinary, but that's the exact perfect thing I need for now. With you guys around, every spoonful is just so...mm mmm~~

To my stupig Sis, what do you mean you shouldn't have came by since I'm going home next week?! That's cruel~ =P
*manja* I know you don't mean it... *blushes*
Oh, and thank you all so much for all the chocolates and biscuits and etc [including ma-neh~]. *burps* This is mad. As in I am gonna go mad.
Haha. All these chocolates...Wow...

Thanks for bringing up my mood! This perfect meal is sooooo gonna bring me great distance. *public announcement* I love, love, lurvvvvvvvve my family!

Righty, time to continue battling with the perfect mood I'm in now~ v(^o^)v

Fun Day in Genting Highlands.

What a great weekend!
Parents came down to KL (Genting Highlands, in particular) for the weekend! Well, it was for the mini family gathering. Nonetheless, they're here!

And this time around, I asked a couple of my friends to tag along. Glad I did. =D

[Great companies, they were.]

Apparently, they got lost in KL before reaching in Genting. It's very very weird, I know. But heck, they got there safe, that's what matters most eh. *winks*

Outdoor Theme Park was fun! Thanks to the company we had, the rain and the mist. The cold weather was simply awesome!
The last time I entered the outdoor was with Lee Na and Su Shyan, years back. And it was a really short one. *sighs*
But this time, we had the whole day to crash the party. =D

Funny though, I don't know if I'm exactly glad that the rain came along mid-day. We were lining up for the 'Space Shot' and were getting so so near to the end of the line, with Chee Wei finally gathering up the lil courage already, when it suddenly started to rain. *sighs* Potong~

I'm confused, but I still think I'm glad. Haha. Because of the rain, we went back indoor. And I did rock-climbing for the first time! Boy, was I nervous. o.O
But I did do quite well, with wriggly legs and sweaty hands. Haha.

And only because of the rain, we went back to the outdoor theme park at night. It was really nice not to have to spend a long long time to just queue for your turn. And hence, the TWO consecutive rounds of the 'Cyclone'. Though the 'Corkscrew' would have been more fun.
Well, anyway the 'Cyclone' was really just the dessert to our TWO consecutive rounds of the 'Flying Coaster' ride. Haha. So, it's fine it's fine. ^^
But believe it or not, we actually rode on some really stupid rides as well. Like the one with the haunted-house-like thingy. Haha. We felt really dumb after.
But, what the heck. =D

[They couldn't even be bothered to 'enjoy' the ride.]

And this one, too.

[Kinda forced to ride on by me. =D ]

We just had to leave the place at 10pm sharp. =.=

[Misty~]

If we were to ever compare this place with any place like Disneyland, it is such a disappointment. Speaking of the 4D Motion Master ride in particular, which was the most disappointing one. It gave us an even worse headache than all the outdoor rides summed up together. We spent most of the 5 minutes checking out the spectacles and finding the best way to watch the thing.
Haha, thank God it was only for 5 minutes. =p

[Check out the mucus on Gkai. =.= ]

Well, the weather was great though! It's just so fun to simply stroll around.
But basically, we just sat somewhere at the junction of a road.
How dangerous is that. =.=
Enjoying talks (nonsensical talks) while enjoying ice-cream and Starbucks hot coffee were really fun though. ^^
Ought to do it again sometime real soon. Haha.

Ahhh~! This is so fun!! Haha.
*ahem* I think we're losing our voices too. Had been shouting for no apparent reasons during rides.
Thanks for the great weekend! =D

Well, good times good times.
Now, moving on to the hard one, gotta start focusing for my midterm on Tuesday. Good God! I'm at level 0!

Monkey Visit.

Woke up at 7 today and joined my Sis to the Monkey Beach. We had to take a boat from somewhere in Teluk Bahang. Or else, we can even hike our way there, which is of course what we're not doing today. =p
Before reaching to the Monkey place, we were brought to the Pantai Kerachut to check out some turtles.

See the trail? The one that looks like a train track. Apparently, it was left by the momma turtle the night before when it goes on shore to lay its eggs.

These baby turtles hatched the night before. They are oh-so-adorable! Wish I can bring them home. ^^
On the way, we actually saw some rocks that resemble a crocodile's head and a turtle. Amazing~
It actually looks more real than the 'Dayang Bunting' Island in Langkawi.
Haha. I'm serious. Too bad the boat was speeding pretty fast, I can't get a good photo of it.

Monkey Beach seems to be just like any other beaches in Penang. Haha. What's so special about it? I don't know either. Haha, besides the fact that you need to take a boat there.
Sadly, the water there is not clean at all. *sighs* And you actually can see sampah everywhere. *double sigh*

So, why am I so excited to blog? Hehe. Well, it's for the fact that I jet-skiied for the first time! And it is so frigging fun, I can't wait for my next ride!
At first, I was really afraid. Not knowing how to maneuver it and etc. But it turned out to be really easy to handle and fun, fun, fun! I didn't even want to stop!
When the sea gets wavy, it really is so fun having the jet-ski bumping its way around, but it was a real headache when you go on high speed then. Even more, fearing that you would just bumped off your seat! Hehe. Nay, we're safe. ^^

We actually rode on the 'banana boat' as well. Quite disappointingly, we didn't exactly had a great fall. Instead of falling into the deep sea out there, we were actually dropped off near the shore where the ground is just waist-length away! =.= I mean, hello?!
I miss the ride we had in Langkawi. Haha, though it was quite painful. *bluek*

Right after the water sports, we were fed with BBQ food. All we had to do was to pay RM30, and they would prepare and BBQ the food for us.
But I still think it would be nicer if we barbecued the food ourselves.

Worst part of it all was that it seriously felt like you're eating in a dumpster. I'm serious! There are so frigging MANY flies all around!! Tee-ewww~!!
Apparently, the durian trees are flowering and hence the thousands of flies around in the island. *argh* Disgustment.

Well, overall, I still had great fun! Love jet-skiing!
I L-O-V-E P-E-N-A-N-G!! Haha~

Backstreet Boys Unbreakable Tour 2008

Oh my God, we're back again!!

Awesome!! F-r-i-g-g-i-n-g
AWESOME!!! ^^
It is so awesome that I wished it never ends.
But of course, that would mean killing them with exhaustion.
And I don't want that to happen. =p

After 10 years, I finally get to see them live!!
My greatest idols since I was of age 11.
[Sorry to say I wasn't quite the one who have been there from the start.]
I never really knew them at first. Catherine was kinda the one to have 'enlightened' me on all things about the BSB. That was how clueless I was about the entertainment industry.
Anyhow, since then, BSB is number 1, on top of my everlasting list already.
The only group whose songs are 100% listened to, by me. And liked 95% of it all.

That was the perfect reason why I never really considered anything and just said,
"YES, I WANNA GO TO THE BSB CONCERT, AT ALL COST!!"

Hehe,
I know. Pretty scary, even to myself. =p
But, I have no regrets saying that.

We reached Sunway Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park [the venue] at around 4pm.
Got our ticket, got our posters, went to the toilet and stood in line.
Behaved well, saw some other fellas holding many-many posters, proceed to ask for more.
And we got extras to be given out to friends. [Yes, I had one for you, Cath.]
All was well, everyone was happy.

That's when it started.
The lightning, the thunder. And *whooooooosh* here comes the rain! *argh*
It rained so heavily, everyone in the queue got wet!
I was literally drenched from head-to-toe. No kidding. Well, all of us were.
Needless to say, I'm sure you know what happened to all our stuff.
And so, the posters are gone. We could have saved some, but..... *sigh*
What could we say.

Right, then the even more pissifying moment arrived.
At 7pm, we were supposed to have had entered to the Surf Beach. But somehow, it was delayed, expectedly. =p
Even more pissifying was the fact that they let the people from the BACK of the line to enter FIRST.
Now, do you understand how we felt?! *chis*
And people started to get really annoyed and there goes the scoldings, the cursing etc.

Hehe, actually thing was I was kinda ignorant. I didn't quite care.
Like some people said, I am high on drugs. The drugs called BSB. *blek*
So, when they started shouting, it just kinda hurt my ears. =p
[My ears were only meant for BSB that night. Haha!!]

Well, as the concert starts, we tried to take alot alot of photos.
But sadly, my camera are kinda 'outdated' already. The ability to zoom and the battery are both so useless! *argh*
But seriously, it was only after the battery died that I started to really enjoy the party! *winks*

Oh my God! They are so amazing, it is still so breathtaking just to think about it. Hehe.
I don't know how to describe anything at all. Only one word really appears in my head everytime I try to describe the concert.
And the word is none other than, AWESOME! Haha.

The place where I stood was kinda strategic, I'd say. It's in the middle-middle.
As in I was pretty much right at the center of the surf beach. Right in the middle of sea of people.
The only downside of the place where we were was the fact that there are many Eurasians who are taller than me pushing their way through to the front. And I mean, talllllll. =(
My perfect view! *sobs*
Then there were also couples all around me. And there was once I stood behind this one couple who seriously have some kinda phobia of losing each other in the crowd.
They just had to squeeze on each other so tight, touch here touch there.
Kacau lar!! I wouldn't mind it if you'd STOP touching me! =.=

Right, enough of the not-so-happy stuffs. Now, the happy moments! Haha.
Well, the four of them actually came out, boxing style. They were caped in boxing suits.
Nick in blue, Brian in yellow, A.J. in black, Howie in green.
The opening song is 'Larger Than Life', with a lil remix of 'Stronger' by Kanye West. [I kinda expected it to be 'Everybody'.]

Best part of all was they continued performing for the whole concert. And we continued shouting, cheering and singing with them for the whole time through as well. ^^
Can you imagine singing all the romantic songs together with BSB?!
Oh, the joy. =p

At one part during the concert, Brian teased us by taking off his shoe and pretended to throw it to the audience. God, we were seriously READY to catch the flying-shoe. *ahakz*
Brian is really cute. Adorable too. When he was to sing his own single, everyone was so excited that we cheered for him nonstop. He then made the nail-biting gestures and all.
Oh my God, his smile is so frigging adorable I could faint! Hahahaha.
[He still reminds me of werewolves though. =p]

Then there was Nick. He actually kinda look much better now compared to a couple of years back. *winks* [Or was it just me? Seeing him live, separated by quite some distance.]
Whatever it is, he is still 'cute'. He totally melts my heart back then, and he still does a LIL right now. =D
When he was performing his own single, he actually poured water on his head and shook off the water from his head towards the audience in the VIP place.
Sounds disgusting? Well, imagine the pleasure the people enjoyed. Not me, of course! Thank God I couldn't afford the VIP passes. *bluek*
And who could forget him putting his face so near to the camera on-stage and make faces. It is kinda what he loves to do after all. o.O

A.J.'s single from his solo album is really awesome. It definitely suits his style, and it really did rawk the party up!
He had been what-we-call the coolest in the gang, and he is so still living up to it. And I don't think the beret left his head anytime at all. Soon Ming said he's balding. *laughs*

Howie D. was the first to sing his single. Apparently, his and A.J.'s solo albums will be released soon! ;)
The crowd did not exactly go crazy when he came out to perform his single. Probably because he isn't quite the more popular one among the rest.
But heck, I still love them all! I was crazy all the way, so I did cheer for him. Loud! :P

Before I forget, lemme recap on the songs they performed throughout the whole concerto [not in order] ~

Larger Than Life
I Want It That Way
The One
Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely
All I Have To Give
As Long As You Love Me
Everyone
I'll Never Break Your Heart
Quit Playing Games With My Heart
The Call
Everybody
Incomplete
More Than That
Shape Of My Heart
Inconsolable
Helpless When She Smiles
Any Other Way
You Can Let Go
Unmistakable
Trouble Is
Everything But Mine
Treat Me Right

Inclusive of each of the member's individual singles, each.
Howie
A.J.
Nick - I Got You
Brian - Welcome Home

Oh, I think I'm missing some songs out. And I'm still trying to find out the names of the songs sung by Howie and A.J.. Hmm. It shall soon be updated.

Can you imagine that?! They performed so so many songs!! God, I am so happy! Haha. I did not quite expect them to sing this list of songs really. I mean, it is pretty alot, don't you think?
Kinda worthy eh paying the RM88? Hahaha.

It's worthy alright even if they sing only 4 songs. I finally get to party with BSB!! Can this get any better?!
Yes, it can. If only I won the hitz.fm backstage passes. *sobs*
Now I'm reminded of the A1 concert I missed years back. *double sobs*

Well, nothing stopped me this time for BSB!!
Hail the Backstreet Boys!!
Haha, I feel so teenager-girlish right now writing this blog entry. *shivers*

Here are more photos, for your eyes only. *winks*

Can't wait for my next BSB concert!!

p/s: Thanks Soon Keat for asking the Sunway Security for the one and only poster for me. *grins*

Orphanage Home Visit.

How time flies. It's been almost 3 months since our last visit here. The Shepherd's Center Foundation.

The first time we were there, it was the first ever visit CARE Club has organized for our term. Of course, due to some setbacks, we were also having another visit to the SPCA on that very same day and time.
Hence, we were separated into 2 groups actually. And I chose to go to the orphanage.

This time around, I didn't have to make the choice. =p I just had to be at one place.
But upon reaching, I was made to make another choice though. To help clean the place up or to play with the children.
Haha. Funny choice given. I really don't mind either anyway.
And so, this group of people volunteered to clean.

It's nothing really. We just helped clean all the fans, clean abit here and there.
Are we missing the fun they're having in the field? Probably?
Heard they played football at the field.

[Warming up before the game.]

Two of the kids actually stayed back, as they were not allowed to play there. They were sick, not just the normal kind of cough or flu we have.
One of them, they called Ah Seng, was mentioned to me that he went into coma for TWO weeks a couple of months ago. Pastor Jacop also mentioned that the fees for Ah Seng's illness cost around RM3, 000 per month. *sigh*
This kid is diagnosed with more than 3 illnesses and the medical fee is so high. This is only one kid.
Can you imagine the hardship they have to go through to save all these children? To provide a proper place to call home?

Even sadder to say, I don't know what kinda help could I actually offer.
Probably what CARE Club could really do is to organize more home visits, in order to tell them they're not alone? =) Yes, that's one that we can really do.
At least we get to see them smile.

But every visits, surely there's something insufficient.
The last visit, we did not have enough plasticine while this visit, we did not bring enough balloons! *argh*
Due to this, we see some children cried, some showed temper.
But being children, very quickly the problem is resolved. Haha.
Guess we need to keep in mind to buy extra of everything on our next visit.

[Heard this fella cried alot. =p ]

[The end of our visit. Right before they go back to bathe and lunch.]

Wonder if we can have another visit to this orphanage again, before the next term. Wonder if our club's budget allows. *sigh*
Hopefully, it's all I can say. =)

Home Visits.

You know, I've always wanted to do some social work kinda thingy. But never really got the chance to.
Today, I had the chance to participate in visits to TWO charity homes in one day. ^^

[The first visit in the morning, to the Beautiful Gates Foundation]

[The second visit in the evening, to the Retirement Home]

In the morning, we headed to the home for the disabled in Petaling Jaya. And then in the evening, we headed down to the old folks' home in Kajang.
Basically, we just helped around cleaning both houses.

Due to the short time allocated for the morning visit, we could only managed to clean the house and had no time to interact with the residents there.
But they seemed to be sweet people. I saw some kids in the the living room, watching cartoons on TV. They seemed just like any other ordinary kids.
Hopefully next time around we could get to know them better. ;)

The old folks' home visit, on the other hand, started off with cleaning. The house was particularly clean, so not much cleaning was needed.
After the cleaning, it was dinner time! Vegetarian food is good, for both the kong kong por por and also us. ;)
We all sat and talked while eating. At first, I felt particular guilt to the four Malay girls who joined in our trip, as all the grandpas and grandmas in the home were Chinese. And most of them speak in Chinese too.
But then, they were really nice and didn't complain.
I only saw them talking to one grandpa who spoke in English during dinnertime. That grandpa is one really cute fella.

Well you see, after eating, we had some get-along activities.
This grandpa was singing 'Baa baa, black sheep' as he dances, social dance. Hehe.

We went back around 9pm, I think. One of reasons was that we didn't want to disturb them to rest. Also, we were running out of ideas to entertain them. Haha.

*sigh* We were already in Kajang. Yet, we didn't get to makan the Kajang satay.

Well~ I feel really contented today alright. ^^
Plus, I made some new friends. =D

p/s: Happy belated-one-day Birthday, Heng Yin! =D
I don't know if you got my message. Bet you were real busy, eh? Hehe. Glad you're okay. Hope you enjoyed the day. *winks*

Rasa Sayang Dinner Buffet.

As initially planned and as a treat for me being 'old', I was brought here for a little enjoyment.
Though my family were supposed to dine together tonight, my parents had declined to join considering that they aren't exactly the biggest fans of the buffet concept.
Understanding them well enough, it's best that we leave it that way. :\

You know, since Rasa Sayang Resort's huge renovation project and then it's grand re-opening in 2006, this is the first time I'm there again.
Being in the resort again definitely brings back lotsa good ol' memories. Childhood memories.
However, the feeling is somehow different. Somehow Rasa Sayang isn't quite as 'homey' as it used to be.

Well, my Dad used to work in the old Rasa Sayang.
Story is, we used to get complimentary stays in the resort. Being a child, I was always excited about this, even if it's only for a night over the weekend.
And it is something that I loved to brag about too. Can't blame a kid, can you? =p
Air conditioning, carbonated drinks, swimming pool, etc.
Those were pretty appealing to me back then. :">

Funnily enough though, the thing I enjoyed most about those stays was the fact that it is where my Dad works. Even more, I enjoyed meeting the people my Dad works with. ><
So I guess it's somehow the little child in me feeling that the old staffs were friendlier. Reminiscing the good old 'pals'.
Probably it's because the old 'pals' were my Dad's colleagues, and the fact that they know me.
Haha.

Anyway, the luxury is even more luxurious today. Being the only 6-stars hotel in Malaysia, it definitely is obviously awesome!
And the staffs are pretty serious about the rules, too. ;)
I was really excited about the dinner buffet.
But perhaps I had made early comparisons with Jogoya in Starhill, Kuala Lumpur. ><
I'm not exactly writing a food critic's review here in my blog.
But personally, I do still love the food served.

First, we started with the appetizers. We started light.
Nevertheless, the seafood served at the same counter was really tempting. The lobsters and the oysters were especially alluring.
Mm mmm. I can't still taste the freshness of the seafood in my mouth right now. [Exaggerative? Yeah =p ]

My personal most favourited dish is definitely the lamb satay. It is so de-li-cious that I couldn't help but go for second and third helpings. *drools*
My Sister on the other hand loved the lobsters and the sashimi the most.
And the tiramisu. [Coffee freak, she is. Hehe.]

After attacking the main course, it's time for yummy-yummy dessert. The whole display desserts is so beautiful that I wanted to keep one of each kind. ^^
Heading to the ice-cream counter, I was pretty disappointed again as I was kinda expecting to see Haagen Dazs ice-cream, and a whole wide range of flavours to choose from indeed.
Imagine the slump I felt when I saw the only 4 different flavours served [namely: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and coffee.]
Pardon me, but I was really looking forward to dive in to the super-yummy-tummy ice-cream.
But, the wish of the kid in me was not fulfilled.

The best thing I've always relate Rasa Sayang with are the cakes. Chocolate cakes, especially. *drools*
However, this time, I was quite reluctant to 'dig in' to the cakes served at the counter.
Main reason being the cakes not cut nicely and are kinda like melting.
At first glance, one may think that those are ice-cream cakes. Hehe, no, it is not.
Undeniably though that the cakes are really delightful, but I'm still not quite keen about taking and putting it onto my plate.
So, I stole them bit by bit from my Sister's plate instead. Hehe. ^^

Overall, it was still a great dinner of course. Beautiful environment and fantastic food.
What more can I say? We stil left the place bloated. Haha.

Check out this link to the Spice Market Cafe. =)

A huge thank you to my sister and her friend for this wonderful treat. *winks*

Happy Birthday to Me.

Lala lala to me...

Long-awaited day has finally arrived. I am finally 21
.
Legal to vote, legal to enter to casinos. *smirks*

[But then again, it isn’t like I have never entered before. *naughty grin*]

Here are the big babies~

It’s good to celebrate with Juin Hau. Why? The reason is pretty simple, and mean.
He’s like the shield for all bullying that was supposedly meant for me. ^^

This year, he ‘shielded’ two attacks for me! *grins*

The first attack.

The second attack.

*evil laugh* Thanks Juin Hau!! ^^
I still vividly remember that last year he did also saved me.

This year, our celebration was in One Utama. I actually got there earlier with Lee Na, Karen and Hui Ying to shop around first.
The rest just wanna rest [a.k.a. sleep] or gonna have another paper later the day.

A whole day we walked and shopped around, from the new wing to the old wing and back and there again. We seemed kinda lost at times indeed. Haha.
I got this dress which I actually planned to keep for Chinese New Year. But I got forced [nicer substitution for the word would be "persuaded"] to wear it on that night itself.
Ahakz. It was pretty awkward. No...it was REALLY awkward!!
Yaya, I can imagine the look on your face already.

Dave's was a pretty nice place to be. A nice place for a celebration too. And the person-in-charge there was as well, nice.
But...he treats alcoholic drink to birthday fellas. Thank God, he didn't quite realize it was a celebration for both of us. *phew*
Pity Juin Hau though, cause he had to gulp the 'fiery' drink down. He was pretty drunk after that.
I did take a teeny weeny sip of it. And I seriously meant I took just a TEENY WEENY sip of it.
Good God, I can't take it though it does tasted a bit like dark chocolate with a little of minty taste. Haha.

The food in Dave's was awesome too.
The pasta was 'mamma mia'! And the pizza was 'super mamma mia'!!

[Oh, one fine photo got ruined by a misplaced fork >< ]

Oh oh oh...and I got a birthday kiss. *blush*

[This is Lee Na who actually came all the way from Malacca to visit me! How sweet of her. ^^ ]

Again this year, I get two birthday cakes. Happieeee.

Due to some circumstances, initial plan at home was unable to be carried out. *sigh* So much for the anticipation.
But it's still aight. Considering I'm home and all. What more it is on this special day. ^^ My special day.
And we went to Eden for dinner. It's been such a looooong time since I last step foot into Eden. Oh, the good ol' memories. ^^
I somehow felt like time really flew on by so fast. That I should start cherishing every moment of it. [Ain't like I don't anyway. Hehe.]

A
BIG thank you to everybody for everything.
The wishes, the celebration, the love, the presents. Oh, i mean it.
Everything. ^^
Thanks for making this 21st celebration of my life so special and definitely one to remember till the end of time. ^^

Biggest
thank you to my family.
To whom, this life would never be without any of them.
To whom, I owe my everything to.
To whom, I am who I am today.

Love you guys all from A-to-Z, head-to-toe, front-to-back, now-till-eternity! *mwahhhhhh*
